Service dogs are more than just companions – they’re life partners. The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) defines them as: dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. A service dog is always ready to act, whether there’s loud noises, busy crowds, energetic children, or some of the best smelling food around. A properly trained service dog must be able to ignore all distractions to aid you in your time of need.
I will work with you to find a puppy or dog with the right temperament suitable to your needs. If you already have a dog that you’d like to train to be a service dog, we’ll work together and see if your companion has the capacity to perform those highly skilled tasks required.
Don’t see the type of service you’re looking for? Reach out – I may still be able to help you.
Please note: your dog will be staying by your side throughout the duration of this training. There’s no better way to ensure that you can form a strong, functional bond.
